Insgsamt hod de Gottung nein Oatn, fu dene finf in Mittl- und vier in Südamerika lem. S habitat vu die Dàchlhea bsteht aus feichte Bergwöida mid vui Aufsitzerpflonzn. Iba de Lemsweise vu dene Fegl woas ma ned fui, außa dass gean Insektn fressn, dass ned bsonders sozial vaanlogt san und dass eana Eier nua vom Weiwal bebriat wean.

Aafgstellt hod de Gottung da Jean Louis Cabanis im Joa 1851. Dàchlhea hod as wahrscheins gnannt wois a bissl ausschaung wiara Dàchl und Cyanolyca weil des griachisch „blaue Dàchl“ hoaßt. De Dàchlhea ghean zu de Neiwelthea, des is a Gruppn vu Romfegl-Gottunga, de wo nua in Amerika voakemma. Im Vagleich mit de andern Neiwelthea (zum Beispü de Blaurom (Cyanocorax) oda de Buschhea (Aphelocoma)) sans eher uaspringlich. Innerhoib vu dera Gottung gibts zwoa Entwicklungslinien, aane mid kloane Hea aus Mittlamerika und aane mit gresserne Hea, de aus Südamerika kemma. Weil da Mensch imma mea vu erna Lemsraum zasteat, nimmt da Bstand vu einige Oatn ob. Desweng san da Zweaghea (C. nanus) und da Weißgurglhea (C. mirabilis) bedroht.
